Here is a legendary conversation between Emeric and I. It has already been posted elsewhere, but I thought it merited a reposting here.
Emeric and I were on our way back from Cold Spring following the Easter weekend. As we were pulling into Roseville, Neil Young's "Unknown Legend" came on. Emeric turned to me and said:
Emeric: "I know it's egotistical, but I hope to some day be a legend."
Kieran: "The good kind of legend, or the bad kind?"
After a moment of reflection:
Emeric: "I'd prefer the good kind."
Kieran: "But you wouldn't be opposed to the bad kind."
Emeric: "Not entirely, no."
Kieran: "Go get your gun."
