Last nigt we were clustered around the dining nook table gaming, as we are wont to do. Michael B. was commenting on the relative intellegince of a person he'd been hanging out with, and was attempting to put it both gently and subtly. The following resulted:
Michael: [S]he's not the brightest tool in the deck.
Emeric: Congratulations, you've mixed not two but three metaphors to describe another person's intelligence.
However, as Mike related more stories, it became apparent to us that the person really was not that smart. So maybe the analogy was appropriate.
