It's A Matter of Being Hip

I was conversing with my sister yesterday, and the conversation turned toward living in Uptown. More specifically, whether Kieran and I were hip enough to live in Uptown.

Emeric: I think we can fake the hipness. I can toussle my hair.

Erin: Yeah, all you have to do is talk about Indie music! Make up names for bands! Like Cucumber Interchange and Babies on Parade.

Emeric: Indie music is the ticket! We just need to convince people that we listen to Indie music, but do it ironically.

Kieran: That's not hard. I listen to Indian music all the time.

I'm pretty sure Kieran's contribution was meant to be humorous, but we can't be sure. It would explain all the sitars and screaming you hear in his room.
